The Rede Ecovida group of Brazilian Family Farmers just one group of the thousands of Brazilian farmers who have been protesting outside the Biosafety Protocol meeting in Curitiba this week display a banner reading "shame on New Zealand". They held traditional maize varieties to celebrate ago-biodiversity and agro-ecology as an alternative to GE crops.
